In this section, I discuss some of the hottest designers of 2020. These designers embody everything that the younger generations stands for, which includes a celebration of success, in-your-face attitudes, and not-so-subtly showing off what we’re wearing out. We’re all loud and proud of our hard work, and we love celebrating it through fashion that tells you all about how hard we work.
We’re taking a step away from the older Italian brands like Prada and Yves Saint Laurent, and adventuring to more streetwear, and flashy logos. After various streetwear brands gained tons of recognition and became one of the hottest, sought after looks–it really changed the face of fashion between millennials and Gen Z kids. We’re taking on a more rebellious attitude towards traditional luxury brands with a subtle logo, and much of the younger crowd gravitates towards the Gucci floral pattern on slide sandals, or the massive Supreme logo on just about anything–including Chinese lanterns, chopsticks, and switchblades. Anything to show off that money was spent on something with a big name really excites this generation of trendy fashion enthusiasts like myself.
With that being said, I break down the most popular designers of this generation. This would include: Alessandro Michele and Virgil Abloh.
