As we’re just at the start of Spring, we are already seeing a change in season but also clothing trends. That’s where we begin to ask ourselves: what will the hottest colors be this season? Although I’m personally no fashion expert, I consider myself a fashion aficionado who carefully analyzes trends in my free time and enjoys people watching enough to catch onto what the industry is planning for the public.
My first color prediction for this season will be orange. Orange can create a bold statement to any outfit, and it really does scream “warm weather”. Although we’re all trying to self quarantine during the coronavirus, I do hope we’re able to still step outside in amazing outfits with pops of color and enjoy life! Additionally, this color used to hold a problematic name in the fashion industry, as it was often associated with prisoners in their jumpsuits or just a general eyesore in comparison to millennial pink. However, orange is a popular color amongst the younger crowd as it breaks these past barriers and creates a bold statement.
My second color prediction for this season is saffron yellow. This dreamy yellow has been sported by celebrities such as Priyanka Chopra Jonas and even Beyonce Knowles in previous years, but its officially hitting the stores as a hot color this season! The beauty behind this color is that its not too bright for certain skin tones, and it beautifully suits those with a fair tone, all the way to the deeper tan skin tones. Additionally, this color goes beautifully with just about any shade of white, tan, or orange. This really gives off the summer vibes and people will be delighted with your presence when your outfit is as bright as the sun!
The last color prediction I have for this season is raspberry. This is a beautiful mix of purple and pink, without making it too girly for even men to wear! This beautiful tone looks beautiful on fair skin tones, but also beautifully suits darker tone skins–which gives it more of a beautiful purple tone. This color also looks wonderful as a nail polish color, and will act as a colorful accessory to any outfit!
All in all, these are all just predictions based on my analysis of social media clothes, fashion magazines, and celebrity trends. I do not consider myself an expert in the fashion industry by any means, but I hope some of these predictions are correct or work in favor of others trying to explore other colored clothes out there.
